Dara Jarvis

Dara is one of our primary therapists in our mental health track. She is also a facilitator in our family day program, helping families understand and manage the issues that they face due to a loved one’s substance abuse and mental health issues. Dara earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Albright College and a master’s degree in counseling-psychology from Rosemont College. She is also a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor in Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to The Ranch Pennsylvania, Dara worked at Caron Treatment Center. She is passionate about her work and encourages clients to identify and develop their individual strengths and capabilities. Dara uses various techniques to challenge clients in a respectful manner to change their old patterns. Dara works with those who have trauma issues, she explores spirituality with clients, and she has been utilizing experiential techniques to motivate internal growth since 2007. She is certified as a Level II from the American Society of Experiential Therapists and has hundreds of hours in psychodrama training.
