Lisa is a Nashville native who has worked as a professional counselor since 1995. Lisa attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After graduation, she returned to Nashville where she attended Vanderbilt Divinity School, receiving a Master’s of Theological Studies with a concentration in pastoral care and counseling. Later, Lisa also earned a Master’s of Science in Social Work from UT and became a licensed social worker.Lisa has worked with individuals suffering from mental illness and addictions of all kinds in a variety of settings, including an employee assistance program, an inpatient psychiatric hospital and a maximum security state prison. She has experience providing individual, couples, family and group therapy with diverse populations. While in graduate school, Lisa worked as an intern at Renewal House, a sober living community for women in early recovery and their children. Lisa was also employed at Cumberland Heights from 2007 to 2010 as a family therapist in both the adult and adolescent treatment programs.In 2005, Lisa embarked on her own personal journey of recovery from the effects of the disease of addiction through a 12-step program, and she continues to actively attend multiple meetings weekly. Lisa joined The Ranch in 2015 as a primary therapist in the men’s co-occurring program, and now helps facilitate family programs as family therapist.
