Paul Gray, M.Ed.
Paul has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in mental health counseling, both from Cambridge College in Massachusetts. Prior to joining The Ranch in 2017, Paul was the activities coordinator and therapist for the acute psychotic disorders unit at Mclean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. He also served as a member of the hospital’s patient family advisory council, which worked on improving the client experience.
In addition to the experiential group work he does as The Ranch’s adventure therapist, Paul meets individually with clients. He uses a person-centered approach along with cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and EMDR therapy, depending on the client’s particular needs. He is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in Southwest Asia and Somalia in 1993. It is from this experience that he is drawn to a career in service of something greater than himself. He finds that in the work he does at The Ranch.
