New Program Director to Head Women’s Eating Disorder Program at The RanchSM Treatment Center

The RanchSM treatment center in Tennessee welcomes new program director Catherine Henricks to head its women’s eating disorders program.   Nunnelly, TN (PRWEB) April 28, 2015 – The RanchSM treatment center in Tennessee has named Catherine Henricks, MS, program director of its women’s eating disorder treatment program, which offers primary residential treatment for women suffering from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder and related disorders. Women in this program receive treatment for eating disorders accompanied by co-occurring conditions such as trauma, depression, personality disorders or substance abuse. Henricks, who has nearly three decades of experience in behavioral health, was formerly a clinical services manager for Rogers Memorial Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she was responsible for daily operations of the facility’s eating disorder center. “I’m thrilled to be part of this important program,” says Henricks, who holds a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. “Everybody deserves an opportunity to get well, and it’s incredibly satisfying to see individuals suffering from a life-threatening illness embrace recovery and go on to live happy, fulfilling lives.” Set in a warm, comfortable home nestled next to a horse pasture, the eating disorder program at The Ranch offers a full complement of therapies including individual and group counseling with master’s level therapists and dieticians, as well as experiential treatments such as equine therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and The Daring Way™ shame resilience curriculum developed by Dr. Brené Brown. The clinical team also provides complete meal-time support with clients learning to prepare and plate their meals followed by after-meal processing of the experience. “We are so grateful to have such a strong clinical partner on our team,” says Cheryl Brown, director of marketing and outreach services at The Ranch treatment center. “Catherine’s approach resonates with our philosophy of treating both the eating disorder and other disorders that so often accompany it.”
